We had a fantastic stay at Campamento Yaax Che. As our main purpose was to visit the Calakmul ruins, this campsite's location was perfect for us, being only 55 kilometers away. The sustainable design of the camp impressed us, with solar power and composting toilets. Sleeping in the tent was a unique experience for our whole family, and we loved it. Fernando greeted us upon arrival, and his wife prepared a delicious meal for us at the restaurant. we highly recommend staying at Campamento Yaax Che for a memorable and eco-friendly stay near Calakmul.
Can recommend this hotel.

I absolutely loved the rustic charm of the hotel's decoration. The wooden furniture and local artwork gave it a cozy and authentic feel. The general areas were well-maintained and easy to navigate, making it accessible for senior people like myself.
I would have appreciated a little more assistance from the children working there. A bit more help with carrying luggage or providing guidance on the activities in the area would have made the vacation even better for senior people.

I absolutely adored the charming rustic decor of the campsite. The natural elements and earthy tones created a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for senior people seeking tranquility. The general areas were well-maintained and easily accessible, with pathways and seating areas that made it effortless for us to navigate and relax.
I wished the children working there could provide more amenities catered specifically to senior people, such as grab bars in the bathrooms or ramps for easier mobility.

The location of this jungle campsite was ideal for exploring the nearby Calakmul ruins. Being close to the ruins allowed for easy and convenient access. the opportunity to witness the diverse wildlife in the area, including howler monkeys and tarantulas, was a unique experience. The availability of clean dry toilets and showers was also appreciated.
The amenities and services at the campsite left much to be desired. The lack of cooking facilities and utensils made it inconvenient for guests who wanted to prepare their own meals.

The location of the hotel is extraordinary, situated right in the heart of the Calakmul jungle reserve. Guests can enjoy the unique experience of sleeping surrounded by the jungle's wildlife and hearing the sounds of monkeys throughout the night. The tents are well-prepared, spacious, and clean, providing a comfortable accommodation option. In addition, the camp site offers walking trails with stunning views, allowing guests to explore the natural beauty of the area.
One aspect to be aware of is that the beds in the tent could have been more comfortable. However, considering the affordable price, the exhaustion from the day's activities, and the exceptional hospitality of the family running the camp, it is a small detail that can be overlooked.

The value for money was great, considering it was a basic jungle camp. The room, or rather tent, was spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect for visiting the Calakmul ruins and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The breakfast could have been better, maybe by offering more variety or improving the organization.

We loved the remote location and the experience of being in the jungle. The owner was incredibly informative and passionate about preserving the jungle. The tents were clean and the mattresses were comfortable. The sunset and star-gazing from the tower were breathtaking. The restaurant served delicious food, cooked over a fire. The camp is eco-friendly with no electricity or running water, allowing us to truly disconnect. The location is perfect for exploring the Biosphere Reserve at Calakmul. Sleeping in the jungle was a unique and unforgettable experience.
Felt like a home away from home, nothing to complain about.
